Making a flax egg is one of the most popular and effective ways of substituting eggs in many recipes. It’s extremly easy to make and you’ll be amazed by it’s binding abilities.
Unfortunately, it won’t help your cake grow like an egg does. Neither will it make your cake fluffy and airy, but hey, moist and gooey cake is already a lot for the tiny flax seeds.
Ingredients: (equals 1 egg)
- 1 tbsp ground raw flax seeds
- 2,5 tbsp water
Method:
Mix flax seeds with water and leave aside for 5-10 min to let it thicken.
And that’s it! It’s extremly easy and useful in many recipes where egg acts as a binding agent.
Enjoy!
